![]() From the simplest shelf display with eye-catching lamp and direction arrows to large-sized displays that are visible in an entire zone, you can combine your system from many different shelf displays depending on the nature of the task (A-, B- or C-items). We help you find the most profitable solution according to your demands. Flexible systems = high profitability A-items (fast-selling merchandise) ![]() With fast-selling merchandise it is reasonable to equip each warehouse compartment with a display due to the access frequency. The advantage is that several commissioners can process one order at the same time. The sequence of picking can be chosen by the picker himself or be determined by the system. A-items with optically almost identical packaging are stored in a continuous flow rack – with receipt-oriented picking, the error rate would be very high. Now the company profits from a minimum error rate and increased order picking performance. B-items (average-selling merchandise) ![]()
For items with a turnover rate that is not so high, investment cost for the equipment of each warehouse compartment with its own quantity display might be too high. In this case, it makes sense to divide the warehouse into areas that are equipped with a central display and a lamp for each compartment.
In such a configuration, only sequential picking is possible in one area because there is only one lamp indicating the quantity. B-items in small containers are stored in a U-shaped zone: a numeric shelf display with 3-digit quantity display in combination with many eye-catching lamps with OK buttons ensures a profitable solution with minimum error rate and increased order picking performance. C-items (slow-selling merchandise) ![]() Warehouse locations for C-items can also be equipped with PickTerm Flexible. There is the option of an overhead display for a warehouse area on which the compartment coordinates and the quantity are displayed. The warehouse compartments are equipped with labels indicating the coordinates. C-items are stored in short compartment rack lanes. A lamp is mounted at the entrance of each lane which shows the picker that something needs to be done in this lane. In the lane, further displays indicate the compartment coordinate and the quantity to be picked. the modular conception of PickTerm Flexible allows the assembly of low-cost solutions. |
