The components
The PickTerm Voice system is independent of the speaker and based on a client/server solution around the software module WinKOMM-PTVBase.
Clients – lightweight, portable small-sized computers
After switching on, the clients automatically log into the system. With this login, the clients are ready for processing the waiting orders.
The operator receives his instructions by an easily understandable voice output. The operator‘s answers are evaluated and processed by the voice analysis which is independent of the speaker.
For special cases, operation via the PDA screen is also implemented in the PickTerm Voice system.

The PickTerm Voice system can receive orders from an overlaying system via a number of prepared interface modules to the host system, process them and report them back to this system after processing.
Running on a windows platform, WinKOMM-PTVBase as central component offers the infrastructure for handling picking orders and allows the free organization of processing for the flow of work as well as of the language dialogs.
This software module controls all functions of PickTerm Voice:
- Reception of orders from the host
- Order dispatch to the PDAs by means of easily understandable dialogs
- Quantity correction, stocktaking
- Freely definable dialogs
